How do your organize your K-pop? [DISCUSSION]

I've always wondered how other people categorized their music. For example, when it's in Itunes/Winamp/Foobar, do you just leave it as the following examples?

1) 강남스타일 - 싸이 - 6집 싸이6甲 Part.1

2) Loving U - SISTAR - Summer Special 'Loving U'

3) A mixture of both 1 and 2

For the most part, I try to do option 1 the most. Yet, when I look at last.fm, I'm tempted to use the English version of the songs/artist names/albums.

My other question is, do you sort it as K-pop or as Pop/Ballad/Dance depending on the song?

Hi CristalJMaldonad,

I use English because it is the only language I can easily read and understand.

As for genre, I use whatever is appropriate. If the song is K-pop (which I assume is Korean popular), then that's what it is.

I name all my music files as 'artist - title'. Some people include the album name and/or other info. Whatever scheme you use, you need to be consistent (and stay well within the number of characters limit (260) for the path + filename), imo

I think he means if you keep the names in English, or keep them in their native language name

This is a really good question tbh, cuz ive always wondered how do others do it.

For me its some files have pure Japanese names (artist - title) or In their English version names if they had one; like say if on the album they had english names, not me doing the translating, then i use those.

*If you have issues with Winamp, ensure you have the currently latest version Winamp v5.666 build 3516 & its patches that fix several issues
*To remove the currently dead Winamp online stuff, see here: removing online stuff
*If you miss the Autotag feature: Gracenote CDDB Autotag alternatives
