Very old ban - can i get unban please

Hello,
Our server or subnet was banned 6 months ago (dec 2005).
213.186.37.93
The banned station does not exist anymore.
Can someone please unban this ip, we would like to make a live event this weekend.
Its a static IP, in datacenter, can't change ip.

I contacted moderators, no reply yet. If an admin can help, thanks.

Thank you.

you need to PM the moderators. a public post in the forum doesnt help with banned addresses.

Something to think about:

The world is not ending You are only banned from listing in the YP [All of the SHOUTcast software is still working] -- this may be a good time to make sure that your site promotes your station like never before.

The forum mods can help you.

The future of Shoutcast I hear isn't a future. So I'd look elsewhere since the entire site is going down soon.

The real question is why would it matter?

Neither the DNAS server nor the DSP will cease to function even in the absence of the sometimey YP -- unless all of your eggs are in that basket, you can still produce a quality MP3 or AAC+ stream, and make that stream available to "enhance" whatever website you have.

Think about it this way, unless you're in the top 100 stations in any genre, you're not gonna get much action from the directory anyway, so if it disappears, you'd probably never know -- I guess it has to do with your real goal -- if you're trying to use your station rank as a hook to bring people to your site, you're up a creek without the directory, but if your goal is to provide someting substantial, the directory should just be in your way -- somehting that drops error messages in your log every other day.

The forum regulars spend a great deal of time helping people add site integration, and helpng people "discover" how to link to their station in the absence of the directory, but it seems like the "purpose" of many SHOUTcasters is just to take the easy way out by depending totally on the directory and the stats it provides -- it's silly -- Everything you need to know about your station is collected by your server -- you just have to do some "work" go get meaningful stuff from it.

All I can say is, if the directory was to disappear forever tommorow, I wouldn't shed a tear -- more importantly, I probably wouldn't even notice because I put too much time into making my site the primary vehicle for promoting my stream. One thing that many broadcasters seem to miss is that the context of their program needs a site to make it "real" -- otherwise, it's just another station of the thousands that are out there under some generic genre.

Gossip or not -- who cares?

And you can list it on www.StreamFinder.com as well. YP.ShoutCast.com isn't the only place to promote your streaming site...

Probably read one of those old ass rumour threads from ages ago that still aren't true.

This one gets more exposure than those people who keep claiming the world is going to end.
