ICQ has a file transfer feature. Right click on someone online on your contact list, and select "File" (second entry on the popup menu).

I should mention, it'd be slower than a true file sharing proggie, because it's uses Winsock, which was really designed to transfer lines of text.

Muahah my ol 56k got 10kbps only on a ICQ direct transfer to Minneapolis. Otherwise it was the standard 5 or less. Course the meter was probably reading it wrong since the limit should be 7 (56/8 right?) but it was noticably faster.
