Media Library has made itself useless

About last week the media player got rid of all my media. This includes songs, videos, and the radio. All that's left is the Devices tab, but that doesn't work either.

is there a tree of options on the left at all? if not then it could be it has been docked to the left-side of the library window and there should be a vertical line which if you put the mouse over it will then show a left-right cursor, click and drag to the right and that should be it back to normal. if not then will need a screenshot &/or a plug-ins list.
