SPDIF output and skipping traks

If I have a playlist and want to skip several songs with FFWD button to skip track on the main panel, it can only skip one song at the time. I have to use the playlist to do so. I want this to work since i'm using hotkeys from a keyboard. Please fix it. It is annoying. I want to use Winamp, sicne it's giving me the shortest loadingtime and best experience of all the players out on the market.

I use SPDIF output through direct sound plugin. When I use that, the whole player freezes and I am unable to do anything for more than 5 seconds. Sometimes up to 30 seconds. This only happens through SPDIF when using direct sound. Why I want to use that? Because sometimes it is more convenient then having to go through my HD Audiodeck to my mainboard and manually switch there. I want to be able to turn on my amplifier, choose winamp and it plays directly onto my stereosystem.

Any clues? Any plugins for this?

SPDIF - I use SPDIF output from Winamp and don't have your problems of freezing.

In my case - Winamp on XP, Soundcard is Soundblaster X-Fi, Connected to Onkyo TX-SR806, To surround speakers.

Connected via SPDIF digital cable. No other audio connections in use.

There are a handful of things that needed tweaking, but nothing major. I can't remember any changes being needed in Winamp. Definitely no extra plugins for it, just Direct Sound using my Default Sound Card. I know I had to make sure the Soundblaster drivers were up to date and mark them to always use SPDIF. Also the XP OS needed to be told my 5.1 speaker setup.

The obvious first question - is the Audio working fine through the SPDIF for the rest of your Windows PC? Is it only Winamp crashing?
