spdif trackmarks

is there any way to get winamp3 to output trackmarks from the spdif output of my soundcard? (sblive 5.1) in the same way as a cd player does. so that when copying tracks to my minidisc player, it splits up the tracks correctly.

i don't know if you can do this with directsound or if it would have to be a separate output plugin.

ok, i've been doing some homework on this one. it seems that a trackmark is generated by interupting the spdif datastream for 1ms or so. i've found a page that describes this and also has a program for winamp 1.xx in order to do it.

http://home.foni.net/~tobias-schirmer/e_md.htm

could anybody help me turn this into a winamp 3 plugin? or could it be incorporated into an existing plugin, perhaps directsound or waveout?

tah in advance.
