Can't get WiFi sync to work

I succesfully attached my Android Phone (Atrix 4G) via USB in Winamp, but it wont discover my device wirelessly.

Sync over Wifi is enabled in the Android app settings. Winamp is allowed in the Windows Firewall.

In the tutorial it said I would get a notification on my Android to allow or deny WiFi pairing, but I never got that message.

Help?

there are issues with the wifi feature itself
as it is hit and miss sometimes
if you see the device in winamp for windows
then you are ahead of most people
sometimes though to see the message for acceptance
winamp on android has to be actively running and visible
all depends on phone security setup from manufacturer/provider
