Hi there!

Hello everybody! Did you miss me?

I've been quite out of the game of winamp skinning for a long time now, and I'm afraid that's not going to change. However, I used to read this forum (and sometimes post) on a regular basis... But in May I had to go to France for a 3-month stay, and then a conference in Italy... Now I'm back home and ready to pick up my old life where I left it. Anything interesting here?

Yay! Jellby's back! I missed you. There's a nostalgia contest going on around here. Pretty interesting stuff. I should probably get working on my submission. It's good to see you back. Welcome.

Welcome back, Jellby. Indeed, Jones is right. This forum isn't as busy as it once was, but there are still plenty of great skinners here.

Hello Jellby! Doing the world traveler bit? Lucky dog.

I'm trying to kick up a bit of dust at Skin Love with a nostalgia skin contest. You really must enter (don't make me resort to bribes)!

And if you don't, I hope you stick around here anyway.

I noticed you were gone. You're the famous Jellby of the "Skinner's Atlas by Jellby" Good to see you back. Hope you join the contest, or do a skin, or something cool like that.

I won't be able to make a skin for the contest this time I should be working on my PhD for a couple of months, I guess. But afterwards, I hope I'll find some time, inspiration and resources (skinning a windows app from linux is not the easiest thing to do ) to make something new...

And I'll be hanging around here, of course

Hey Jellby

I've missed you. Glad you're back

That collab skin we were going to make would have been perfect for this contest, eh? Though I don't know if I'll have the time to make a solo one, let alone a collab one (which would probably take much longer to make) :/

That's what I did with "The Best Winamp Skin Ever" and with "Mbuga", but xmms is not fully bug-compatible with winamp, and doesn't have all the new windows (and MikroAmp)... or has this changed lately? So it's possible to make the bulk of the skin just on linux, but then I have to find some windows to test it and finish some details...

Geez! You still remember that?
Yes, it would be perfect, but I don't have much time either Maybe we could make an "Astérix contest" some day By the way, I still have that Chain Skin hanging around my hard disk, let's see if I can dig it out and publish it! (or maybe not)

Jellby, I've been using winamp 5 under wine for some time now, and it works almost perfectly if you are using "run in a desktop window" turned on. I've just had problems with the media library not opening, but everything else works fine.

There used to be more stuff, but hey, links die over the years.
