Registry error

Hello all, first time posting here.

I'm using Winamp 5.63(x86). OS is Windows 7 Prof SP1 64-bit. I started getting an error message this week stating "Can't access registry information". I select OK to clear the message and Winamp launches. Doesn't seem to have any affect on functionality. Has anyone encountered this error and what are possible fixes?

is likely a 3rd party plug-in causing an issue (i.e. not compatible with the version of Windows you're using). please provide a plug-ins list as per http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins so someone can check through it.

Hi 40sumthin,

You are trying to use the Enhancer DSP plug-in. It was developed for Windows XP and is not compatible with Windows 7. It is trying to write to the registry in a way which Windows 7 does not allow. You needed to have installed the special wrapper software (when it was available) to make it compatible.

I'm not familiar with LoudMax, it may also be too old (not compatible).

Edit:
The Enhancer wrapper is still available.
