Giving up Facebook...

I haven't closed my account there. I just wanted to get away from the stupid arguments. Everyone hates each other. Just because someone has a different viewpoint. Especially when it comes to recent events. It's just dumb.

It's just mostly family and friends. And a few acquaintances I guess. I'm not really active in any groups. I just post and hope someone smiles usually. More often than not my posts somehow are offensive to someone. I'm about ready to pack up and live as a hermit in the woods somewhere.

I hadn't really been on here much in the last few years til recently. I guess I missed some good times... Lol

Not that hard.. Just click here and follow the steps.

It just might be inconvenient.
Most platforms I know of also provide other login methods

I've only ever created a Facebook page as a placeholder so that others couldn't pretend to be me. It basically says this is the official page for me; I prefer not to use it other than to say if you see other pages with my name or pictures on them, it's not me. If you wish to contact me, you know other ways of finding me, etc. I've gotten along pretty well without it. That's not to say that I'm against others' decisions to use it; it's just not for me.

When people give me a hard time about not using it, I just tell them to give me a call or visit me in person. If I want to share pictures or videos, I can either use texting, video chat, or YouTube.

Never used facebook itself. Getting to the point where I can finally uninstall whatsapp because people no longer expect you to be on it is another story.

I've never used Whatsapp... I closed all my social media accounts a couple of years ago except Facebook. I don't get why we "need" all those sites.

Why do you "need" Facebook?

Hint: you don't.

A group of us from Pabook signed up to Facebook in late 2006, right when they opened it to the public. I signed off in early 2009. Social media platforms make life worse.

My fiancée likes using messenger and I'm using it for that now. She uses it because of cell phone service wasn't good when we were with Sprint. Texts would take a few minutes to do a few hours.
