make a playlist, save it. when you want to burn the CD drag and drop the playlist on the 'CD/DVD drive' in the media library.

been doing this for 15 years. what i am trying to say is if there is somehow a way to "bookmark" the song in the winamp playlist. Then open that bookmark which contains all the selected songs ?

Doin' what 15 years? What's wrong with making a media library playlist sending all the files from your playlist editor to that and then using that playlist to burning your CD. That's assuming your using the media library though. AFAIK there is no way to do the "bookmarking" your talking about. Or you could just right click send to>cd burner/drive and it will be waiting there for you.

"It is, in the end, whatever the Hell I want it to be,
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole,
This wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
They're throwing bottles at your house.
Come on, lets go break their arms."

I think what he's saying is, he has a big ol' playlist, and as it's playing through, he might think "ooh, I like that track, I'll burn it a CD later", so he wants to sort of 'mark' it. After a while he'll have a CD worth of songs, and will burn it.

Rather than just running through his library and picking songs.

Well I can think of one technique...but you might not like it since it involves modifying tags.

But perhaps try something like this:

With your playlist enqueued or playing, right click on a song that you want to burn to cd and choose "View File Info". Then type some identifiable string into the Comment tag field for the song...like, say "Burn Later".

Then you should be able to create a smart view in the ML that selects all tracks with the string "Burn Later" in the comment field, so that you can cue them up to burn when you want to do that.

I don't do this for burning, but I do use this type of technique for various purposes...like special playlists or marking songs to synch to ipod with ml_ipod plugin.

Anyway..hope it helps

well the playlist method will still work. all you have to do is create a playlist in the media library called 'Burn' or something then while a song is playing or you're going through the playlist and you want to mark it right click it > Send To: > Media Library Playlists > Burn (or whatever its called). thats all.

Can't remember how far advanced dropbox is in 5.541.

gen_yar is as trusty as ever though.

A forum search on dropbox and gen_yar should give you all you need to know.
