Line In auto adjusts
I can't seem to get the shoutcast-dsp-2-1-3-windows to stop lowering my "line in" all the way down when I open winamp. I've tried reinstalling and messing with all the settings. No probs on the older shoutcast versions but that one doesn't save it's windows layout.
Any suggestions? Thanks! ~J "Memories are what life is..." ~JVonD |

you need to install the current version of the DSP which should fix that (which is 2.2.3 at the time of this reply).

Oh that's great thanks daz! I guess you also have to completely uninstall Winamp so it gets rid of the older files other wise it won't work.
Just hooked it all up with the K-Tech_SFX skin and it's perfect. Thanks again! ~J "Memories are what life is..." ~JVonD |

there's no need to uninstall anything as the upgrade works in-place.

I tried to do without an uninstall and it kept auto-adjusting the volume still, so then in a final try I unistalled Winamp and it worked. Not to sure what the deal is but that's what I needed to do.

Just restarted my computer and it's adjusting the levels again. Still bugged out. =( Thanks anyway.

am going to need more information on your system, your Winamp version, what exactly is 'bugged' i.e. copy / screenshot of what isn't right as the plug-in should be keeping any settings which have been set as that.

Sorry it took me forever to get back to you. Here's some system info and a video description.

ok, had a look at the video and the DSP is set to 'soundcard input' on the 'input' tab but couldn't see what was set for the levels on the bottom of the dialog as the dropping to nothing points at some of the level sliders on the dialog being set to the left - most likely for the BG &/or Mic level options.
if setting them back to the right and after a restart still doesn't resolve things then if you can pm / email me a copy of your config file (should be in %appdata%\Winamp\plugins\dsp_sc.ini when entered into Explorer) and i'll try to debug it on my side. -daz |

Yeah it does the same thing regardless of the faders. The only thing that changes is the speed of the fade. Sent you a msg with the .ini contents.

Any luck anyone? I can't find how to disable the auto-adjust. Every time I start the DSP it will turn down all the "line level" volumes automatically.
SUPER ANNOYING! Thanks! ~J "Memories are what life is..." ~JVonD |

hmm, i had thought i'd replied back when you sent the ini file through though i cannot seem to find a record of having done that. i've re-tried your config file with the current internal build and the public build of the Source DSP and i just cannot replicate any aspects of the issue being seen.
i've replied to your original pm with a link to a test build but if that doesn't help then i really have nothing else to do or try as i have made some changes to how setting of the options work. the only thing i can think is it might be down to how the plug-in doesn't properly work on Vista / Windows 7 for the soundcard input handling and that's not going to be getting a re-write for some time. -daz |

Hey daz! Just tried your modded dsp plugin. Copied it to the directory and fired up winamp and unfortunately it did the same thing. It looked a little different so I know winamp used the new plugin.
Thanks anyway! ~J "Memories are what life is..." ~JVonD |

oh well, it sounds like it's a dodgy OS install then and as long as it works ok now then that's going to be the main thing. thanks for the confirmation on trying out the test build on the dodgy OS install.
