SHOUTcast radio stations not playing on TuneIn

I am trying to listen to some SHOUTcast radio stations on TuneIn, but almost all of them listed do not play. They used to be able to, but now I do not know what happened. I tried on both Chrome and Opera beta with the same result. There are at least some stations that play however, but not very many of them.

search around this forum for Shoutcast Version 2

here's a quick update on this:

Chrome and other browsers no longer support shoutcast version 1 - you won't be able to listen to these stations on most browsers

email the station and ask them to upgrade to shoutcast version 2

Thank you. But why is shoutcast version 1 no longer supported?

the shoutcast v1 protocol is no longer supported by shoutcast, so the browsers and eventually the audio players are dropping support for it as well. the players are more the issue, since the browsers try to use an installed player to actually process the audio stream.

Well that makes sense to me now.
