Do you want to join (not for viscolor.txt, though)? We still need someone to take Kiwi's place.

As for the progress, I recently received a pm... it's being worked

Done (or being worked):

main.bmp
viscolor.txt
playpaus.bmp
titlebar.bmp
cbuttons.bmp
posbar.bmp
shufrep.bmp
monoster.bmp
text.bmp

Pending:

volume.bmp
balance.bmp
avs.bmp
eqmain.bmp
pledit.bmp
pledit.txt
mb.bmp
eq_ex.bmp

This is how it works, Tac-man and J.Burnaway. The order in which the components are made is fixed, and they were randomly (and secretly) assigned to the skinners. When someone finishes his/her part, he/she sends the skin to the next one in the list. Only those who have finished their work know who is going to make each component.

So, you both may join, because we've got an empty seat and we'd like someone to make a mikro.bmp (wouldn't we?). If there's another one, he/she could make the cursors.

And anyone can make avs/milkdrop presets to add

Google'd:

"Fortnight," which means a period of fourteen days, is a contraction of the Old English phrase "feowertiene niht," which meant "fourteen nights." (The ancient Germanic peoples from whom we lifted the phrase measured time in nights, not days.) A related term, "sennight," means a period of seven days (from the Old English for seven nights, "seofon niht"), but is very rarely heard today.

"Fortnight" itself is pretty rare in the U.S., although it is still in common use in Britain. The entire British way of speaking about the immediate future, by the way, often confuses American visitors. While in the U.S. we might say "I'll pay you two weeks from Tuesday," in Britain they would say "I'll pay you Tuesday fortnight," or "Tuesday week" if they were going to pay you a week sooner. The British also follow the date format "day, month, year" (as in "4 July 1999" or "4/7/99"), rather than our familiar "month, day, year" form.

I've had no news since my last post, sorry :/
I've PMed the last skinner I know was working, no reply. Please [name deleted], if you read this check your pm's and answer.

So, do we welcome J. Burnaway, Tac-man and e-raser to the project (in substitution of KiwiFreak and to make the mikro)?

As long as there are components still up for grabs, then sure, why not?

Nope. But I'd be extremely surprised if the skin ever gets completed. We should have known. Chad's collab contest back in April was a disaster, because hardly any of the teams could get their act together on time. And in that, people were only in groups of 2 or 3! And we expected almost 20 people to get their collective act together on this one

It's often up here. Some one seems to bump it up every few weeks. But it doesn't seem to help Maybe we should scrap the 'secret' part of it and reveal who is meant to be skinning what...maybe it will all go quicker then. (?)

Good news, people!

Someone has finished his/her component and a new skinner will be receiving the chain (check your PMs). Note that I haven't seen the skin, I just know of its progress.

¤db¤: If I remember correctly the eq is already splitted, the full list of components should be some pages back, the last list I posted was just a list of files, some of them are made by different skinners, and some skinners make several files.

As soon as I get home I'll add these new skinners (or some of them) to the list, add mikro and cursors and re-randomize the remaining components (so nobody "knows" that one of the new ones is going to make the cursors ). I hope this project comes to a happy end, even if it takes till Christmas or longer.

Hm... I've added 3 more components:

- mikro.bmp
- winampmb.txt & mbinner.bmp
- cursors (animated or not)

But before throwing KiwiFreak out of the list I checked again and... he made a post on 17th September, so maybe he's still interested, so I've sent him a pm and an e-mail through the forums (does anyone have a real, working e-mail address of him?). I'm not going to change anything in the list until he answers or we get bored of waiting
