24 Day 6

anybody ready to watch season 6 of 24? my friend got all seasons for Christmas and he let me borrow them to let me catch up. if i don't watch it all I'll just buy this season.they got a 2 hour premier on sunday and then another 2 hours on Monday! I can't wait. Watching them on DVD is alot better because you dont have to wait to see whats going to happen next.

I love that show except there's no way I'd ever be able to get through a season without missing an episode.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

Stretching 6 days into 6 years. This sounds like the most boring tv show in history.

Hardly.
It's not 6 consecutive days, but 6 seperate days where major events occur in each. I'm up to season 3/episode 2 but already know that Spoiler: David Palmer is assassinated at the start of season 6

That'd be the worst week anyone ever had if it was 6 consecutive days. And, Spoiler: David Palmer is assassinated at the start of season 5

I already watched the season premiere of day 6, all 4 hours of it.

Let's just say it's explosive.

I guess my next download endeavor will be 24. Still working on Scrubs, which due to their short length of 20 minutes per episode, I can watch nearly a whole season in a single night at work.

Beware of 24 though.
You can tell their affiliation to the Fox network by their incessent character profiles. Everyone but one person in the first 2 seasons that Jack Bauer's daughter met in public was either trying to kill her, kidnap her, rape her or rob her. As a matter of fact, nearly everyone who isn't part of the regular cast either ends up dead or is an evil person. There are no law abiding, peaceful citizens on this show.
When I put this together with Fox, I was referring to the agenda that Rupert Murdoch seems to have with creating fear in the American people that no one should be trusted. that everyone else is a terrorist and that they should trust their government to safeguard them and ask no questions.

*The body count in season one alone, had to be close to 1000 including the bombing of a loaded 747.

Nice death count.

8 gigs per season... yeah, that's gonna take a bit of time.

Eh, my big downloads aren't usually that fast. I never seem to connect to that many people. Would probably take me 4 or 5 days (or more with my luck) to download, and I can watch as many as 9 or 10 episodes on a good work night.

Though I can download a single 176 megabyte anime episode at 3 megabit...

10-11 should be airing on the 22nd. The season premiere was a 4 hour event: 2 hours on Sunday and 2 hours on Monday.

Well, I've been downloading season 1 of 24 for about 6 or 7 days now. 4+ days to go.

This sucks ass. Not even a single episode is at 100% yet.

Yeah day 6 is turning out to be pretty cool. The premiere was good enough to be made into a full-length movie. I can't decide whether I'm more hooked on Prison Break or 24 at this point. Heh. (I have't been into 24 much since day 3.)

Finished watching the first season.

Things I hate about it:

beep, boop, beep, boop, beep, boop. Is it REALLY fucking necessary to beep every fucking time the second changes?

Palmer's wife. God that bitch needs to die.

I don't like the concept of 1hr of airtime = 1hr of real time. Feels like season 1 covered a span of 1 week. Way too much shit happened in those 24 hours to make it seem real.

Fo sho.
The beep, boop, beep, boop gets really annoying everytime they go and come from commercials. They could have at least trimmed it out of the DVD versions.
BTW, Sheri Palmer gets even more shitty in season two.
Death is to good for that bitch.

yes i agree. I don't really mind the beep boop. i think its a very sad moment when they dont do the beeping at the end of a show in season 3. season 3 Spoiler: jack is forced to kill Chappelle or Saunders will release more of the virus i liked that part, made it seem like a real good highlight of the show. oh yeah who reminds you of sheri in season six? to me its the presidents sister. i hate that bitch.

Anybody ever think of what jack would do in other movies? i just recently saw the movie "the jackel" with bruce willis. The part where the find out who the mole is. You know what jack would do. He'd make the mole work for them to find the jackel easier.

Well, I've only made it to episode 10 of season 2, and I've lost interest in it.

Just not my kind of show. Oh well. *deletes several gigs of 24 stuff*

what channel is The Unit on? i think I've heard of this show before and maybe even seen it but just brushed it away because it didn't seem like a show i would watch. i have previews of shows/movies that only show the minimal stuff.

dammit

This could qualify as a spoiler for people who haven't seen it yet so just to be on the SAFE side: 24 Season 6 Episode 10 Spoiler: dammit I totally hated Tom Lennox and figured he would betray the president. I now hate that senator guy. Dammit why does everything go wrong that I want to go right? I remember reading a post that said not to assume because the opposite will happen but I never remember to do that. What about that phone number? I remember when keifer was on jay leno he said a phone number they didnt filter before it went threw and was seen on the tv actually worked. This was on Season 3 when chase was calling jack and ignored the call. I wonder if this phone number will work.
