Port Forwarding...

Hi,
I have tested all possible combination after I configured Ports in my router, and nothing seems to work.
My local computer IP is 192.168.1.58 and every time I run the sc_serv, it shows a different port like 192.168.1.58:54627
When I setup the sc_serv.conf I used 8080 for internal and external ports.
What am doing wrong? The sc_serv connects OK to the source.

This is my sc_serv.conf

Is there something missing?
Is it my port forwarding the problem.

at your router, you need to forward inbound tcp port 8080 (portbase) to your server's lan address 192.168.1.58 port 8080

your dnas is fully setup, leave it alone.

This is a pain in the ass. As you may see my DNAS file is OK and the server connects without any problem to the source. Problem is that every time I run the sever, it come with a different port attached to the local IP and when I try to connect to the stream through the public IP, it doesn't connect.
I've attached a pic of the DNAS.
Is there a way to assign port 8080 to the computer local IP. I have already forward that port to that IP in the router.
Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry about the server image. This is the one that uses the port 8080

the firewall on the server allows it (inbound tcp port 8080) too, right ?

the port that the source uses to connect to your dnas will always be different, ignore that, it's a port you don't need for configuration.

port 80 inbound may be a no go, depending on your isp, port 80 inbound may be blocked. i'd try another port first.

...and the source > connects to > the server. title and artwork updates go from source to server too.

Yes, firewall inbound and outbound tcp port 8080 are allowed on the server.

Yes, I know: It should be: http://mypublicIP:8080/

start from the inside out:
--- from the server computer
http://localhost:8080/index.html // means the dnas is running ... on the localhost interface

http://{lan ip}:8080/index.html // also bound to the server's nic and the firewall allows it.
--- try the above from another box on the lan ... some routers don't let lan clients talk to each other..

http://{whatsmyip}:8080/index.html // from in your lan means port forwarding is properly set up...
--- from outside your lan and you're all done. some routers [i know, again], dont let lan clients talk to the public ip

the dnas index.html requires no password and it must be accessable.

Thank you. You were right. My router didn't let the lan client to talk to the public ip. I tested it from a friend house, and it did work.
