ATRAC3Plus plugIN

Can't play ATRAC3Plus media in winamp (.aa3 extension files) - and still can't find any plugin for decoding it!!! Please help me fund any way to play ATRAC3Plus coded files or any another ATRAC3Plus player. Also I wanna find ATRAC3Plus Encoder for Winamp.

Unforunatly, due to restrictions from Sony there isn't any ATRAC3 plugins, or encoders. Doubt there ever will be. But if there was, it probably would have to come from Sony.

Never was a really popular format, anyways.

Maybe it isn't but it compresses sound much better then mp3. Asking one more question - what player can I use on my computer to listen ATRAC3Plus (maybe any specialised player for ATRAC3Plus only)?

it makes smaller files than mp3, but it doesn't sound as good as mp3.
aac+ and vorbis are FAR SUPERIOR, if you want smaller files.

musicmatch i think used to work with atrac on my md, though i wouldn't reccommend it to anyone.

There is a plugin for ATRAC and so far so good, it seems to let me play .oma files through winamp. You will need to register for the minidisc forum to be able to download the plugin.

switfie: your only 2 years late to answer the original question.

atrac is still a shit closed compression format, there's better codecs around which are not only free but fully open to the public.
