Winamp 5.8 high Virtual memory

On small local TV station we use winamp as playing software. We play avi and mpeg 2 files. We need Winamp to work as long as possible without crashes.

Problem is with memory usage. After every playes video ram memory and commit size ( virtual memory size) increases.
so, after 48 hours winamp crashes, probably because high virtual memory loaded.
at start commit size ( virtual memory is about 60 mb) and after 24 hours is almost 1gb.
We play about 150 video files every day.

i5 4670
8gb ram
amd 7870 2gb
winamp 5.8

any solution?

i forgot to say that after 48 hours and virtual memory size of 2gb Winamp freezes and crush. More detailed, Playing is stopped and Winamp not reponding. Our Operating sistem is Windows 7 x64

Use VLC. Winamp sux for video.

telling you that Winamp isn't a great video player.

If you use VLC, maybe this VLC extension can be modified to suit your needs:
https://addons.videolan.org/p/1154018/

It is a LUA file, which can be edited with a text editor.
It contains installation instructions, which are clearer than those on the website.

If you try it, make sure it is turned on every time you start VLC: (View > check-mark at "VLC Song Tracker").
