2020 has been the longest 5 years. I will be glad when this is all over.

I am so important I feel the need to let it be known like a liberal discovering the internets for the first time. Uh hur hur hur. I also wash myself with a rag on a stick.

I'm so old that sometimes I have to push pretty hard just to get the fart out. Then I'm proud because it was loud enough to get some resonating and echo in the bed springs, like a church's echo of a choir's last word of a song.

A prominent advisory figure (in the "men should be manly and women should be womanly" field) advises men not to fart – at least not audibly – in front of their wives. I only became aware of said figure in the past couple of years; unfortunately for me, that ship had long since sailed.

He suggests some rather unseemly methods to quieting one's farts. I'm happy to say that I've never tried.

I've been known to vibrate the couch a bit. Lol I hate when I start coughing and it somehow forces one out.

I'm Alive I think or at least last time I checked I was...

Covid has tried finishing me off twice this past year. At least that's the explanation for the mystery fevers I came down with

No fame or infamy to speak of on our part. We had our 15-year wedding anniversary yesterday. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up.

Never got the virus, but did get the 2+1 shots, Moderna in my case. The second of the three had a hard-hitting reaction, but it only lasted one bad day with a high fever then the next day I was on the roof cleaning the chimney like there was never a problem. Several contacts of mine had a similar reaction to their second shot.

I did get a separate health problem though. A big bulge popped out of the side of my lower abdomen. It turns out I have a hernia from doing too much manual labor in too little time. I have a desk job at a high school but have been doing some tree service on evenings and weekends. It started out just helping out friends/family in exchange for them letting me keep the wood for firewood. Then word got out and I ended up doing too much too fast using my body rather than equipment for much of the work. So tomorrow I'm going to get cut open so my gut can be fixed and then they'll staple me back together. It's routine surgery and I'll likely be released to go home same day so it's nothing to worry about, but it's kinda buzzkill knowing I'm not allowed to do much for a while until this heals up.

Just got a positive self test this morning. The line went red as soon as the liquid touched it, within even a minute.
I'm still waiting for the official results but I guess this is round 2 for me.
I cough a lot and my mouth feels dry. Other than that I'm ok I guess but I'm staying and working from home for now.

if you had your shots , it should feel like a normal flu or whatever normal flu is these days.

in that case you should be better in a few days.

FFS, did you survive? I hate to hear that.
As far as the virus goes, I started the new year with it. Pfft, bad cold BUT the after effects are insane.
Hope you're doing well Ted!!!

Oh god. I lived through the 10 years that started in 2019 and is now, ostensibly, somewhere in 2022.

For old time's sake I wrote some poetry and came to dump it on the forums.

just as feathery as ever | portfolio | a poignant quote
