memory leak

i just upgraded from v2.76 to v.2.78 and it caused one of the worst memory holes i've ever seen, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it, it still had problems. i reverted back to my more stable 2.76 version and i have no plans now to upgrade to the lastest version for a while. i always trusted winamp and it's the only player i use, but i will be very cuatious from now on about upgrading to any new versions.

I believe a memory leak is when a program uses memory, but when it exits, it does not return the memory.

Either that, or a program that constantly uses more and more memory.

If you are using Windows ME, that's the culprit.
