Winamp runs for 2 seconds then crashes

I am running WinXP Home, SP2,

Tried uninstalling then reinstalling, to no effect.

Winamp had been running fine up until yesterday but then started crashing right after I started it up.

any ideas?

reinstall as in reinstall winamp? or windows as a whole?

Clean install Winamp, as is indicated in the link Rocker provided you.
