Sarge?
I got this package in the mail today for asking for Avalanche info months ago. A spiffy brochure and, yes, a hot wheels style version of the beast

Now, if only, I can get $35,000 together for it

Cool fuggin' beans!

I got a smaller brochure for it about a month ago, but I didn't get the mini-model schweetness with mine. =/ I've seen a couple of those roaming the roads around here lately, too. Those things are the ultimate Tonka toys.

I saw the Ford Forty-Nine at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January. Now, if Chevy starts making concepts looking like this, that would be cool. Maybe on my spare time, I can draw up something... heh.

Come on. Where's the REAL cars?
Where's the Civics, Corollas, or a bike?

Those trucks or SUVs (or whatever they are) eat too much gas to be of any real use.

possibly to be of any affordable use to those on a budget and/or without the need to haul stuff.

they are of real use to some people, and others would argue that looking cool is the only use of a vehicle required (besides transporting bodies, that is)

True. Many people buy trucks and SUVs so that it would look cool. However, they eat too much gas and it's funny when these cool people sit in their monster trucks for hours every day in traffic

let me continue the argument, just to be the devil's advocate.

you think it's funny to look at them in their monster trucks, but i'm sure they're sitting up there looking at you thinking it's funny when energy efficient people sit in their teeny, silly looking, uncomfortably small cars for hours every day in traffic.

Real cars. If it doesn't have a V8 or better, it's just a 2000 lb. Yugo with a motorcycle engine.

Bikes do their job just nicely. Well, it might take a long time to get to the destination but it uses the least amount of gas. Ooops, make that NO gas at all.

I just think a V8 is just overkill. Just think of how many people who owns trucks or SUVs actually make use of all that power. I would say a pretty low percentage.
All that power would be nice for racing, but a car with the same power would most likely beat any "non-cars"(except a motorcycle).

Well, my little truck has a V-6, but I make use of all of its 195 horsepower on a regular basis. I guess that's why my 60,000 mile BFGoodrich meats are only gonna last me 30,000 miles. Anyways, I have used my truck to haul shtuff around with, and let me tell you, extra horsepower is nice to have.

Besides, all those "real cars" wouldn't stand a chance against me in my truck. I raced a Honda Civic not that long ago... Wasted him. I raced a brand new Dodge Neon earlier today... ate my dust. Hell, I raced a full-size Ford F-150 with a Triton V-8 not that long ago... he couldn't keep up. All that, and I still get over 18 miles to the gallon.

[edit: Oops, I wrote the wrong specs. All better now. ]

I can't wait to see next year's Corvette Z06... It's more powerful than the current one, and it completely outperforms the Viper (even more so than before ). All at half the price with twenty times the features.

Z06 = Nummy
