How do I change song titles (language)?
It is the first time I use winamp to broadcast an Internet Radio (shoutcast etc.) and I face a problem with the titles of songs appearing in the small window under the title of my station (I am using flash & media player). To be more specific when I play English (or other songs with Latin letters) there is not a problem and the artist and song title are OK.
But when I play Greek songs (I live in Greece), insted of the titles of songs we see question marks! Therefoe I am asking how could I correct this problem. I would prefer a solution that would change the titles according to the song playing automatically. Thank you Special GeoMan P.S. I downloaded the Greek language pack but the only change I had was to see all the info etc. in Greek. Sorry for my English - I hope it is clear what I want to do |

changing the language pack is not going to help.
if you are broadcasting and then checking what is shown (as i think you are doing), you need to ensure that you are using the v2 releases of the SHOUTcast tools as the v1 tools do not correctly support non-english characters like you are finding. -daz |

Thank you. Yes I am broadcasting for my desktop and I check how it looks etc on my laptop. I ll try the V2 as you said. By the way here you ll see what I was saying. I ve put the name of the singer with Latin characters but the song in Greek and it appears as follows: http://i42.servimg.com/u/f42/16/12/96/05/screen37.jpg
By the way, what you meant is to change the V1 which I see below in the icon with V2 and if this is so, how do I do this? http://i42.servimg.com/u/f42/16/12/96/05/screen40.jpg |

yes, you'd need to uncheck that option but it also requires you to be using a v2 DNAS.
if you're not (as i've a feeling probably is the case) then it's not going to help and will just cause the Source DSP to fail to connect. -daz |
