Weird ShoutCast issue
All,
I am having an weird issue with a radio station I am setting up using sc_serv and sc_trans. I have my radio running fine and no errors in the log file. I can hear the station from a Firefox and IE installed in one machine in my local network. All other machines I cannot hear it from any browser, but I can if I use WinAmp or VLC. This is also true when I try to access it from outside my network, I can even hear the station from my cell phone. My server is running in an alternate port 9000 since I run other services on port 8000. I tried java players as well, with no luck. My station is http://gersongarcia.dnsalias.com:9000 if you want to check it out. Any help? Suggestions? Thank you very much, GG |

Working fine for me.
Might have to do with the browser players trying to connect to the remote IP instead of the local one. Not a whole lot you can really do about that except to use a router that allows local network clients access to ports forwarded by it. Other solutions are a bit more complicated but it's really nothing to worry about. |
