Did you try installing Winamp 2.06 like I suggested in this thread?: http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/000036.html

Of course I did. It ain't there. I'm not stupid (BTW, how do you convert MP3 to WAV? ). Anyhoo, If you could e-mail it to me, it'd be really helpful. Maybe I'd have enough incentive then to make a webpage for rare plugins (anybody remember those plugs from fusion AMPdeck? I got 'em).

Also, I saw a post here showing off Power Plugin, which I used to have, but now the author doesn't have a website. Does anybody have version 1.06? (the link on the post is like 103 or somethin')

What's your e-mail address? I'd be glad to e-mail it to ya if you plan on posting it on the web so that I can post a link to it in my "Where'd those plug-ins go" TSGH thread.

Well, Hell, My info don't have my e-mail? That's Fucked. I'll have to put it there somewhere. I don't get enough mail . Anyways, here's my address. You get a "lost and found" plugins topic posted and I'll gladly host some of the rare files.

Ok, just got it (RIGHT after I posted). I apologize if this was an unnecessary post.

I am having trouble getting this thing to work. it says type 'tone://2600' for a 2600 tone, but it gives me a "file name invalid" error. What am I doing wrong? (i'm sure it's painfully obvious, but that's the kind of stuff I miss)

That's 'cause you're using "Open file..." You need to use "Open location..." instead.

Also, the tone gen doesn't go up past 20000, even though it appears to (try going to 26000, you'll see). This is unfortunate, b/c I can't really determine my actual hearing capability (I can hear 20000 just fine). I had another tone gen that only did 20k, and I was hoping that the nullsoft gen would do better. Too bad. Good plug, tho'.

And your secret's safe w/ me, of course. I understand completely, and appreciate that you trust me enough with that info.

(follow up post: What info? Response: None of your damn business)

I'll post the tone gen pretty soon, as well as a few others.

Are you sure it's what doesn't go up past 20 kHz? How do you know it's not your speakers or your ears that are dropping out?

b/c it DOESN'T drop out - quite the opposite. It gets LOUDER. It happened with the other tone gen I had as well. Maybe it's my system. I'll try it on my laptop.

how about winamp lyrics? Doesn't anyone like this one? I love it. It does consume a lot of time getting and adding, and time stamping the lyrics, but it is cool. Some day I hope all the mp3's will be encoded, but in the mean time I am doing my part by encoding mine. More people need to get involved in this.
Bogie.

well, the one plugin that has made my life a lot easier is the system hotkeys one, you can access winamp controls with <Windows key> + X for play, etc, my favorite vis plug is synthesoft's Kinemorphics, and CJ's 3D OpenGL plugin, (3D Bass cube r0x)

The best

What could be better than a couple of plugins that make Winamp a quality cd to mp3 ripper?
The mp3 encoder at http://pp666.cjb.net/misc.htm and Copah's CD reader are a musicmatch killer!!!

geiss kicks ass but i find that albedo actually responds better to the music (i.e better beat detection). albedo also has a lot more configs than geiss, badass!!

Yikes! Winamp Plugins are da BEST!

I'd tell ya! I used a lot of skins/plugins on many mp3 players and none of the other programs have as many skins, plugins, and visualizations that Winamp has to offer. I got nearly all of the presets on Winamp's web site and it already totals up to over 3000! Ouch! On the other mp3 players, I could only get like 30-40! Also, the Winamp AVS editor does good as well! What do you have to say about it?

g-force is defintely in the top 3. Mad Spin is incredible. while it doesn't have the variety of g-force, it is addictive to watch. the best plug-in: Christmas Dancer!! does anyone know of an unrated version?

AcidSpunk v2.14 and G-Force are the only ones I really use. With top honors going to AcidSpunk and a thumbs down to Nasha (AcidSpunk v2.13) and Ramya (Geiss v?.?).

Hey guys! Check out my plug-in! It's at http://www.winamp.com/customize/deta...ponentId=38539
if you're wondering where it is! It's called Insane AVS 1-2! It's not a 5-star, but it's a really darn good one for sure! If you have any comments on my plug-in, I would like to hear them. Just send me an e-mail at netscape_rules_007@hotmail.com.

Also, I'll be coming up with Insane AVS 3 sometime before April and it will be da biggest and da best AVS collection in Winamp History! I'll probably put in 150 AVS presets in it!

About my current AVS project "Insane AVS 3", I have created 106 presets for this collection so far. I'll probably have this plug-in submitted by the end of this month. There will be 150 presets in all, which will make it the second biggest (Ironfroggy's got 203 presets), but this one will have the most content in Winamp AVS history!
