Winamp Classic Skin specification change

As you may or may not know, a new beta version of Winamp has been published, 5.51, see HERE for more details.

As of this version there is a change to the Winamp classic base skin specification, don't panic!!!

Within the preferences you'll see the new ISO Standard Frequency bands options
CTRL+P > Preferences > Playback > Equalizer tab > Frequency type.

Upon selecting the ISO standard option, you will notice that EQ frequency labels on the EQ window change to reflect the new band values.

Current Winamp EQ bands...
60, 170, 310, 600, 1k, 3k, 6k, 12k, 14k and 16k

ISO standard bands
31.5, 63, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k and 16k

To create these changes an additional bitmap file has been added to the skin specification, this file is known as EQMAIN_ISO.bmp

If this file is present within your skin file and the ISO option is selected, then EQMAIN_ISO.bmp will be shown in your skin rather than the standard EQMAIN.bmp file.

If you swap bands back to Winamp standard, then the regular EQMAIN.bmp file will be shown.

What happens if you don't have EQMAIN_ISO.bmp in your skin and you select the ISO standard bands?, well, your skin will continue to display the EQMAIN.bmp, obviously the EQ band labels won't update.

Do you need to update?, only if you have a skin that shows the EQ band values and even then it's entirely optional, but hey, I know all you guys are perfectionists

Attached file is the EQMAIN_ISO.bmp classic skin file, the full classic base skin can be found HERE

Yes.

There are also a couple of cosmetic fixes to the classic base skin as well, playpaus.bmp & gen.bmp, but as far as specification changes go, eqmain_iso.bmp is the big change.

Any info about that cosmetic fixes? Downloaded the updated classic base skin (gen.bmp, nums_ex.bmp and playpaus.bmp are modified on 19 Nov 2007), but I am probably too stupid to figure the changes out myself.

nums_ex.bmp I added because the original download didn't contain it at all!

gen.bmp, I think they fixed the brightness on one of the in-active title bar letters, it was a smidge brighter than the rest on the original skin, I forget the exact letter, H I think it might have been. (yes, it was H, not a letter you see that often in any classic gen windows)

playpaus.bmp, the little indicator dots were fixed up to actually look like they were doing something, this one I'm not 100% sure on, but they are certainly coloured differently to the original file

This specification just change winamp base skin?

Why can't change EQ of other skins?

Woah this was a year ago? Never even noticed... I should pay attention to the stickies more often. Something else to skin. (possible easter egg for those who don't use this :P)
