Activewinamp installation turned my ■'s into ¦'s

I tried to install Activewinamp recently and ran into dll registration problems. I tried to reverse the installation by deleting files and was mostly successful but I have found that the ■'s in my Advanced title display format show up as ¦'s when they are finally displayed in the playlist and titlebar by Winamp. Please help, I need my boxes back!

Here is my entire advanced title display format string:

code:
%title% ■ %artist% ■ %album% ■ %year% ■ %genre%

I'm not sure how or if ActiveWinamp is involved with your problem. I've used that plug-in for years without a major problem.
Your ATF string works fine for me.
Did you try re-installing Winamp?
Which files did you delete?

Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, Winamp 5.666, Bento Skin

Neither deleting Program Files\Winamp or the Appdata folder worked. However a full uninstall via control panel did work and I was able to replace my Appdata to get up and running again.
