Stop a song at the end

This may be a stupid question but can winamp be configured to stop at the end of a song without going to the next song?

For a one-time action ...

- Right click on the Stop button
- Select "Stop after current"

in order to do what jph6t said, you need to have DrO's Stop after current plugin installed.

stop after current is natively built into the winamp core, maybe you're getting confused with the close after current plugin?

yes, that's true. see, you are a very active plugin writer, which most of what you wrote i use, so i must've mixed what's native and what's not.

I have this problem too. Stop a song at the end (the red square, instead of the index of a pause or stop starts to be shone [on classic skins]). Help!

Check/uncheck that option to enable/disable automatic 'stop after current'.

Other than that, I honestly don't understand what you meant by:
"the red square, instead of the index of a pause or stop starts to be shone"
