Adding Media to library crashing winamp at Win8

I've used winamp over decade and still its my best music player.
Yesterday I've installed windows 8 and tried to add music files to winamp media library but it keep terminating winamp. I tried re-install but same.

Version is latest official Winamp 5.64.
I never had this problem when it was windows 7.
Computer system is same accept O/Sme

I have huge music files and media library is the reason why I still using winamp.
It seems winamp doesn't compatible with windows 8.

Are there any method to fix this problem?

I don't think it's got much to do with Windows 8 and more likely the size of the library you're trying to add in one go. until it can be properly looked into, all that be suggested is to try adding smaller batches of files than everything at once.

I didnt have any problem when it was windows 7.
Also I think its not the matter of size of library but winamp bug.
I tried smaller batches and some folder didnt have problem when it was lager size and more songs. however this bug needs fix any how.

It will help if you specify how you are adding your files.

And get a list of plugins as many issues come down to third party add-ons. (Use the Info Tool)

Will also be useful to say how you migrated to Win7 - did you take any Winamp settings over? If so how?

sykrising: I am agreeing it needs to be fixed but without details of what is crashing i.e. install the 5.7 beta and attach the crash report generated or if that doesn't work then I can provide details on something else to try which will give me more chance of tracking down the cause of the issue.

I only suggested doing it in batches to at least get you able to use Winamp as you have before. maybe there is something specific go Windows 8 that causes the issue for you but others have had similar issues on earlier Windows versions so it is something now I have the means that I would like to get resolved finally.
