Winamp will not Discover Nano 5G
I cannot get the latest version of Winamp 5.6 (downloaded from winamp.com about 10 mins ago.) to discover/view or let me sync my iPod Nano 5G.
It is set in iTunes to "disk mode" and "manually manage music and video" is set in the on possition. Winamp is able to find any other device inluding one of my old Sony Walkmen, just not the iPod. |

Alas, we only support Nano 1-4g (and all iPod Classic, Shuffle & Mini models).
Apple doesn't allow us to support Touch, iPhone, iPad, Nano 5-6g models due to their closed proprietary code/formats. Well, we tried to hack in support a year or two ago, but Apple then released new firmware which broke it all again. http://www.winamp.com/help/FAQ#Plug-ins (last entry) Hmm, also looks like I need to update the relevant Help sections http://www.winamp.com/help/Winamp_Portables_guide http://www.winamp.com/help/Device_Support_Matrix (Oops, I'll do that at some point today) |
