Girlfriend on vacation (1 month), how to spend the time?

HI people!
My girlfriend went to vacation on Monday, and will likely come back in 1 month time. Since in our free time we were mostly together, my question is, what to do NOW in the free time, since it drives me mad, she's not here
I'm feeling it's just half of me here...
I mean I am not bored, I am just sick sad, hanging around with friends helps a bit, but I don't heve money (or liver) for hanging out all the time in pubs.
Thanx for any suggestions...

How do they call the Big Mac? Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big Mac! LE BIG MAC?!

I am quite aware of this, so on Friday, we're having quite a drinking-party, 'cos on Saturday I am [edited]having[/edited] 20th birthday . We've got the pub booked, the beer is being cooled , cops alerted
We'll be having fun
And when she comes back, we'll have fun together

How about hit on other girls. But you dont seem to be that kind of person (that is a really good thing too.)
I agree, do some stuff you wanted to do. Or do what I do and wast your life on the computer, surfing around useless websites and all.

Oh, thanks, I am really NOT into such things. Yuck. I find it disgusting cheating your girl/boy-friend.
I am University, so we're having the exams-period (or how to call it in english)now, learning is really tough in such a situatian as I am in. I keep thinking about her all the time...

Read a book. If you dont know how to read a book you could read a book about how to read a book.

Learn all about farts

Spening some time with your right hand sounds like a good idea (unless you're left handed).

Watch titanic. After sitting through 3 hours of that a month doing anything else will just fly.

If you get really bored you could try building a peltier powered beer cooler.

If all else fails, just get addicted to IRC. Once you are you'll forget all about real life (or so some of the addicts tell me)

that's what happens when you spend too much time with your girl and not enough time with friends.

i suggest getting addicted to something really harsh while she is gone. you wont be bored, as you'll either be spinning or devising ways to support your newfound addiction.

From the backside of the book:
Harry Harrison - A first class short story writer, an experienced editor and anthologist (compiler, with Brian Aldiss, of Sphere's Year best SF series), a translator (from Danish and Italian), a trained cartoonist, ha has also been a commercial ilustrator, hydraulic press operator, truck driver and is, of course, a first rate novelist.
Harrison's styl leaps from the humour of his Stainless Steel Rat novels to purist SF to the splendid combination of fantasy and science fiction found in Captive Universe.

So, Harrison is THE Sci-Fi writer, next to A.C.Clarke and I.Asimov...

My english skills are adequate to this type of books.(science fiction is considered to be quite demanding)

OH, Ok, Sci-Fi, that explains the oddness. I love Sci-Fi, look into Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. It is a quick read and is simply amazing, sure it’s old, but I can see where he was thinking society would go to, and how close he is right. I bet you already read it though.
Or, George Orwell's 1984, if you are looking for something more complex, and something to do with "Big Brother" watching you always. It the next book on my list of books I need to read.
And yes Sci-Fi books are demanding, especially with the works and names they seem to make up.
Well, I do feel bad, that my spelling is crap, and people that have English as not their first language can spell better then myself, (Oh well, I have some "learning disability" or so they say "I learn differently" so I can not spell, or at least the nice man told me so). Oh well Spell check is my life.

Also, just enjoy your life, have fun with the little things in life.

Why don't you jokingly phone her up and tell her she is dumped, or you fell in love with a Spanish immigrant called Juan Kerr...

Play Chrono Cross. It's kind of like a "zen video game" sometimes. Plus, you will most likely learn some weird stuff about life. Squaresoft, is there anything you can't do?

You're right I have read that one, in czech but taht counts as well. I have read most of the novels by A.C.Clarke, when I was 15 I read the DUNE in english (huh), now I am quite into Harrison's stuff, later will try Asimov's.

How do I feal about germans? I have never had problems with them, since some of my friends are German...

But if you mean our countries relationship (and the Beneš's decrets) I simply think germans should shut up. They lost the war they caused, I know, it'S not fair with those resistance-mambers, those should get their beholdings back, but what about the czech state? Czech state never got a single DM from them as reparation-money (BTW, noone got, know who cause this? USA!!!!). So I think it's simply too late to manage mending the problem. Either way, someone will always complain....

Nice of you! My Uni is next to the place where these Paratroops-spec-ops guys were killed... They hide in a crypt of a church, one of their comrade but reported to Gestapo (was killed during interrogation), and SS went to the crypt, flood it with water, and attacked, but the troops found just dead bodies. all commited suicide. That was the only way how to avoid torture during interrogation...
