Album Art Subfolder

Has anyone suggested having a separate sub-folder for Album Art?
It would certainly help with file house-keeping, as having all your MP3's & JPG's in one directory/folder is quite messy.
This folder could be defined under Preferences.

*My apologies if this has already been discussed, but I could not find any reference to it.*

Put your album art in the mp3 files themselves. (embedded)
My music is folderized as each individual cd. (artist - album)
Each mp3 has the album art embedded and there's 1 jpg of the cd in the folder just named "Folder" so that the folder itself shows the CD cover.
Nice and clean.

If you are using the same image in each of your folders' mp3s and for the folder image, you are wasting space. But with the size of drives these days, you have space to waste.

I embed also, but I use different images for songs from the same album. I get bored looking at the same image over and over, so I use various images of the artist and/or images that match up with what the song is about.

But since the art is called album art, you probably think this is just wrong.

this is an interesting request, b/c it has been suggested as the way to account for android shortcomings, and it may very well get implemented for android based files, but I doubt you'd see this on windows, b/c winamp typically follows the windows conventions.

you could do like I do, and mark all your folder art as "hidden" files, (but not system files).

Thanks for all your comments.

As per Aminifu's comment, I also have different artwork for almost every track, so this creates plenty of files.

Winamp doesn't appear to give an option to embed artwork into your MP3's, so how is it done?

It looks like I've come up with my own solution - Embedding the Album Art.
Here is a good article:

Embedding Album Art in MP3 Files by Richard Farrar

Here is a good Utility to do the job:

Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)

Many thanks for the link Aminifu.

Anyways, attached.

No vcl included in the front-end plugin so it should allow Winamp to load fast and also remain small~ish.

Also many thanks to thinktink for taking the time to write this much needed & appreciated Plug-in.
