How do you feel yourself politically?

I'm sure this has been done before, but I wanted to see a current look on how people considered themselves...socially liberal/conserviative/middle of the road

I used to be a moderate (non-religious) right-wing conservative.

But in the past several years I've made many friends outside my own country, and it's given me a lot of great insights into how the US is viewed, and what kind of REAL effects we have on the world.

Therefore, now I'm a hard-core, left-wing, live-and-let-live, animal-loving, pro-choice, pro-seperation-of-church-and-state, anti-war liberal.

I'm still not a political person...these are just the values I hold at this point in my life, and this is how they "fit me into political categories".

I'm not Republican, nor Democrat, nor Independent. I'm me, and no political party decides what values I'll hold.

I'm a psychosomatic sister running around without a leash.

I'm in the middle: pro choice, live-and-let-live, anti-religion, pro-small govenment, pro-research (animal and stem-cell), pro-personal-freedom, pro-tough criminal sentencing.

Basically I use my own common sense rather than conform to one side or another.

You just pretty much described Libertarianism.

Anyway, yeah, I'm a Libertarian. Good to know there's some other Libertarians here.

I don't like choosing sides, but my views on such terrible things as social security, human rights, gun control and consumer rights among other things would make me look like a flipped out freakin´ wacko idiot commie liberal in the eyes of guys like these. But i like to see myself as just an open minded human soul floating around in the sea of stupidity.

best answer I've seen, agrees totally.

I can't agree with most of the policies of any govt. party but then i believe the lot should be chucked in jail, and a proper world management system be installed instead.

I also believe all nationlistic ideals and borders and stupid naffing flags be binned.

I'm a human and as Nybergh says ' i like to see myself as just an open minded human soul floating around in the sea of stupidity'.

both those statements say it all for me really

I consider myself social-liberal, and "oddly" enough im a member of the Danish Social liberal party

Support globalism, abortion rights, gay marriages, European Union, Legal Canabis, Scandinavian Welfare Model (Free education, healthcare etc. and a high tax rate), Gun Control, Controled Capitalism...

in Denmark im slightly right of the middle, in the states i would probably be considered extreme left.

Probably so, since we seem to have a majority of what I'd consider far-right-wing conservatives here in the US.

From their points-of-view I'm surely a far-lefter myself. Although I don't feel that my own beliefs are anything close to extreme. Maybe I should move to Europe?

Certainly. But remember to take your region 1 dvd player with you, the US DVD editions are often better, like filled up with full-bitrate DTS ES instead of three or even four (!!!) dubbed soundtracks.
Or, use this.

Uh, i don't know where i got that last comment from but it just seemed relevant for a moment.
