Lite version of Winamp?

I play lots of games online, and I love to play winamp while I play. But... winamp likes to slow down my gaming high points when the song changes. I was wondering if any one knew of a lite version of winamp that uses less memory, but still lets me use plug-ins for last.fm? Doesn't need media library or any thing just lets me play music and add plug-ins.

Hmm. Maybe try winamp Lite from the download page?

In any way, memory usage should be neglegible in any case. With my classic skin and minimized it consumes a hell of 7 MB. That's next to nothing on modern machines.

though you never know and the AS plugin could be cause of the slowdown but like amano says, just install the lite version on the download page or you can select the lite option in the standard/full installers or just uninstall any plugins that you're not using/need to slim things down as needed.

Well I know its not the last.fm because it would lag ever 30 seconds during data transfer while it mostly just does during song change. Now how can I keep the two versions differn't from anther so that way I don't mess up the ornignal which I use the most while I don't play?

Was doing hte beta installer, and I could change the area for the settings I want so it does nothing at all to the regular winamp. Be perfect if it acted as if it didn't even know it was there. I turned off all things that it would try and open with like audio and such I just want it as a winamp I open and use and does nothing but that, so I need differn't settings on the same user.

lower decoding thread priority.
lower output buffer.
prebuffer=0
