RegDLL with visual studio redistribution package

i'm trying to register ocx file on windows 7 virtual machine

but it fail if there are no visual studio 2010 redistribution package(vsredist) installed

Why do i need visual studio 2010 redist for RegDLL?

I don't want to install the visual studio 2010 redist

any idea?

the command i'm using is :
RegDLL "$INSTDIR\MyOCX.ocx"

fail log is:
Could not load: C:\Program Files\MyFolder\MyOCX.ocx

i tried other visual studio redists like 2012, 2013, 2015 but not helped for RegDLL

Good job solving this on your own. Since this is not really NSIS related I'll delete this thread in a couple of days to prevent further confusion. RegDll does not require anything and works all the way back to Windows 95 just like everything else.
