Exclamation ml_iPod v3.07 released!

Hello everybody, finally I found the time to pack together a new release, which is ready for download now!

Version 3.07 - 12/15/2008

New features:
  • support for nano 4G (incl. cover art and photos)
  • photo support for iPhone and iTouch
  • full support for new iPod classic 120GB
  • photo thumbnails have no black border anymore (just like iTunes does it)
  • a lot of bug fixes and minor improvements
Download here

A full list of all changes can be found in the change log.

Enjoy!

THANKYOU!

Question though.
"still no support for iPhone/iTouch with firmware V2.0 (Apple's fault!)"

Is this the firmware issue that MediaMonkey solved but will not share with the Internet Community? Also, does anyone have updates regarding this issue....has any other program solved this issue and are THEY willing to share?

Yep, in a nutshell. Guess they are looking to attract users.

It's a hack anyway. You have to have iTunes installed and it uses some features via scripting or dlls or whatever, rather than actually reverse engineering the protection on the itunes.db file.

True but either way....its a hack that could possibly help to Reverse Engineer the process. Its all about the baby steps in Reverse Engineering.

That's what I thought when I initially reported it. MediaMonkey lists 4 files that are needed from iTunes. Having these files present, iTunes doesn't need to be installed. It seems that understanding what these files do and how to interface with them, should provide the answer. I seems like it is a much simpler task now by using these files than to recreate the whole wheel.

As I said in a different thread already, the iTunes DLLs are needed for transfer, I doubt that they will do the hashing. ml_iPod already uses iTunes DLLs for transfer to iTouch, too. There is no other way.

I just hate iTunes for transfering music into my itouch.. I have downgraded to 1.1.4.. but still there are a lot of apps for just firmwares 2.0

Anyway, I will still have it downgraded until I get ml_ipod for FW 2.0

Cause ml_iPod is the APP/Plug-in that you can't live without for your iPod.
