Is the jtf updater a bug or not...?

This is not what I would consider a real bug, but it's a confusing tidbit of design nonetheless.

I found it originally in 5091 and it's still there in 5092.

My specs:
Windows XP SP2 English + DirectX 9.0c

AMD XP 3200+
1024 MB DDR
ABiT NF7-S (using onboard Nforce sound solution).

Winamp v. 5092 fresh install

This is a screenshot of Preferences -> General Preferences.

Notice the tooltip with the explanation

This is Preferences -> General Preferences -> Jump To File

This option has no tooltip, and the label is not very informative

Hopefully we'll all know in the next version of winamp

daniel_einstein: that's the updater for the JTFE plugin and not for Winamp as a whole since the plugin is developed separately from the main Winamp team by myself and people in the past asked for an auto-update feature. i will change the text for the next official build to clarify things better
