This list is a bit old:

But I think it should be pretty safe to assume that anything newer than those games should also be compatible for the most part.

Check your hardware and reinstall your OS, if this was a widespread problem there would be an uproar about it.

Looks like the game was released early '06 (before Vista was released) and the last patch I see was in early '07. They don't appear to have bothered to support Vista. That's hardly a reason to blame Vista.

Here are games that work in Vista.

GTA (the one from Rockstar download site installed and played fine on my Toshiba L300-1BV Laptop, but on my ASUS P5N-E SLI, it failed to install.)

Quake official Expansion packs ran fine after I had manually made shortcuts, as they both use DOS launch files, which doesn't work with the Windows version.

Quake II Mission pack: The Reckoning and the unofficial Mission pack: Juggernaut, both ran, it created the shortcuts on my Toshiba L300-1BV but not on my ASUS, so I had to copy the shortcuts off of my laptop.

Simtower for Windows 95, runs fine after the files that the game uses are placed in the System directory, but on some machines you might have to select Windows 95 compatibility.

Broken Sword and the second one, runs fine and the problems people had with the games in Win 9X, doesn't happen in Vista.

Bejewled runs with no problems.

Bejewled II runs fine, but when moving on to another world on Nvidia GFX chipsets (happened on 8600GT, but haven't tested on a 9600GTO yet), the animation runs a bit slower, but the slowdown does not happen on intel GMA 4500M.

There are others that run fine, I'll come back and add more when I compile a list.
