First, I have a discman connected to my soundcard line-in. It plays fine. I then tried using the CD/Line-in winamp plug-in. The CD playback works, but the line-in produces no sound or visual on the equalizer. I also got thr Mic-input to work. I fiddled aroung for a hour without success. Then when I tried to play a MP3 file (and others) they play super-fast, without sound, but I can see the visual on the equalizer. I re-installed Winamp and downloaded new files to play with the same outcome. Need help please.

DAK your output plugin is set to DiskWriter to fix this do the following:
Open Winamp
Press Ctrl + P
Click on "Output"
Click on "Nullsoft waveOut"
Now press close.

You should now have your sound back in Winamp, it was converting all the files you played into wav files so you might want to find those files and delete them since they are just taking up space.
