What they're meant to do is make sure nobody is out of line, stays within the boundaries of the rules and behave themselves.
What they actually do is the above but with some bloody hilarious humour.
I like the mods here, they make me laugh far too much. Especially ElChevelle, Germ and Mr Jones.

Sawg for Mod! Oh wait....

Sometimes you become mod, try to please everyone and take on the stupid task of trying to tame GD and then get a lot of people pissed off at you. Bitch a lot about the lack of Admin support, so one day you end up with Admin access and end up pissing more people off. So you just get sick of it one day and purge your posts and deleted you account.

The more mods there are in a forum, the worse they work together I feel.

Really, I think this place would better if the mods were slashed to just 7 core mods who seem to get the task done without much fuss.

And seeing as I've been gone for 2 weeks and need a little controversy, I feel those would be:

CraigF
DJ Egg
Nunzio
KXRM
Mr Jones
UnConed
Sarge

The more mods there are, the more controversy over decisions there can be.

i personnaly like all the mods but there decsicions ranger, eg: i question a mod about a decsion he made when another mod said it was alright. the mod that made the descion gets pissed off and words and other items begin to fly.

This is not a democracy, you do not get to vote on who mods.

Was I voting? I thought I was simply voicing an opinion, unless that comment was directed at mystuff, who didn't seem to be voting either.

actually we should have a 'no mods day' where the whole forum is left unmoderated for a full day. That would be fun.

One ex-mod had suggested that a few times, just to see what the kiddies would do. Although I think a few members would end up banned

I talked with him a while ago, he sounded like he was bussy with work and for the most part happy he hadent been around much.
Dunno, I think I talked with him because some troll was bashing him a while ago before they got banned.
I was trying to figure out who the trolls where (they new things from 4 years ago) I figured they were old banned members.
Anyways when I talked with him I think he was drinking screw drivers ang getting a little wasted so the conversation was a bit funny.

That was a "tongue-in-cheek" comment

After Sawg re-joined under drewbar, there a few people that didn't realize it was the same person for quite some time

if people ended up banned then it would not have been a 'no mods day'

Sort of like the tax free weekend we get here in the states. You won't be taxed later for the goods you bought over the 'special' weekend.

I was gone when all that happened, I just remebered him from a while back when he was a mod.
I used to talk with him about winamp back in the day thru AIM, so when I read those posts I was talking about I thought he might be able to sheed some lite on it.
I knew he was still roaming around in the forums, guess I dont pay that much attention anymore.
