I have Zone Alarm Firewall protection on my system. It tells me whenever a program attempts to access the internet. Every time I click on an MP3 file on my system to listen to, Winamp attempts to access the internet... Why? Im always very concerned about privacy and I cant think of a valid reason why this would accur. Anybody know the answer?

In Winamp, go to Options -> Preferences -> Setup and then select "No internet connection available." I think that should solve your problem.

Winamp loves the Internet unless you tell it not to:

Go to Winamp Preferences and:
 • Select "No internet connection available"
 • De-select "Check for new versions of Winamp at startup"
 • De-select "Allow Winamp to report anonymous statistics"

Go to CD/Line-In Plug-in Settings and de-select "Use CDDB"
These sort of questions would probably get answered sooner in the "Tech Support - Newbies" forum.
