wasabicfg.h in build 499e

well, i was converting my project from 488 to 499e... not too bad... change some directories in the settings, no broken #includes, except one...

std.h includes wasabicfg.h

this file doesn't exist where it's pointed too, so i was wondering what i should do...

i found the wasabicfg.h in studio/wa3cfg, but i'm not sure if that's the one i should use (it is a wp component i'm making), and if it is, how should i go about using it? should i copy it to the sdk root? should change std.h to point to the path of this one (i'm wary of altering the sdk though...)?

Thanks for the help,

It includes <wasabicfg.h>. Which means you do have to add $/studio/wa3cfg to your include path. And then it works fine.

ok... that makes sense to me.

another question though...

I'm getting unresolved externals on a couple of the dispatchable classes in the sdk. the error messages:
code:

WrapRead.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol
"protected: virtual int __thiscall SysCallbackX::_dispatch(int,void *,void * *,int)"
(?_dispatch@SysCallbackX@@MAEHHPAXPAPAXH@Z)
WrapRead.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol
"protected: virtual int __thiscall waServiceFactoryX::_dispatch(int,void *,void * *,int)"
(?_dispatch@waServiceFactoryX@@MAEHHPAXPAPAXH@Z)

But those _dispatch functions are very clearly in syscbx.cpp and waservicefactoryx.cpp. I even opened up the .obj files and confirmed that their in there. And yes, i have set my project up to have the linker include those additional library directories. ($/Debug and $/waclient/Debug)

soo... what's up with that?

thanks again,
~WHEREamI

i dl'd it.. haven't installed or upgraded to it yet though. hadn't found it when i posted. will update once i have.

[update]
no dice... still no worky in 499f. Bizzy: are you having problems with sysCallbackX::_dispatch() as well, or just waServiceFactoryX ? What do the 'X' versions of these classes do anyway? they seem to be about the same as the 'I' versions.
[/update]

waServiceFactory: the base class
waServiceFactoryI: the interface class for you to make your own
waServiceFactoryX: the dispatch reciver class (i think)

their gone. I'm just dumb. Old 488 libraries that were being used instead of the new ones.

488 can (and really should) finally be thrown away completely.
From now on, there's nothing stopping anyone from using the very latest shit, FINALLY.
