Configuring Shoutcast for SAM

I've installed a Shoutcast on my Centos server and it works fine with Winamp. It appears I only needed to run sc_serv for this, in a pretty basic configuration.

I now want to use the same server with SAM. I disconnected Winamp and connected with SAM - everything seems fine except there are no sound coming out. The log shows track information to it's connected ok, so I guess the problem is something about mp3 encoding.

I've tried to wrap my brain around sc_trans, but no luck. sc_trans_basic.conf seems to think most people would be using a playlist file on the server.

Can you please guide me to how to set this up? Thanks much!!
