Hello,
am I allowed to record a video of a Milkdrop animation to music I made by myself, (using a screen capturing program for recording the video), and then upload the animation to my youtube channel?

Most preset authors will probably have no objections if you use their presets. You can certainly use mine (martin-) without restrictions.
