I can't connect to it either. Do you know if that remote host is configured to allow incoming connections to the DNAS?

It has to be, all other DJ's can connect but there all in the US im in UK and im the first DJ from outside US to broadcast. Its as though something somewhere is blocking something...

i cannot connect to it either and it just seems to time out on that port and a few of the other common ones used. tbh it just seems like the server is not running or it's just not on that IP (which is something i think we possibly mentioned in your previous thread).
and i'm testing from a vpn connection so i should be geo-ip'd from the US (cannot try from my normal UK setup as in the middle of working on something). one way of seeing what might be right is being able to access the summary page of the DNAS being used. -daz |

Thats the address for the station website also, but if put it in browser, it just times out, i cant even ping it.
I heard something about ISP's blocking US sites, to stop free dowloads ect, ring a bell? |

Deep house lounge
Hello Everyone.
I use WHMSonic as the auto dj control software. WHMSonic uses a special port for DJs to longin without turning off the auto dj. 66.68.28.166 IP for djs to login to 5878 Port for them to connect to The shoutcast DNAS is located at the following address. 66.68.28.166:8038 We are not sure why Japhet cant connect. If he can ping and connect to our website www.deephouselounge.com he should be able to ping the server IP |

deephouselounge.com works for me, but 66.68.28.166:8038 doesn't resolve and just times out.

now i'm not on vpn (as was the case earlier), i can actually access 68.68.28.166:8038 and i've just tried with the previous details in the DSP and it's able to get a cipher response failure i.e. password is incorrect (as i'd have expected).
edit hmm, and now it won't resolve to the DNAS page. edit 2 it's intermittent in responding, that's just weird. -daz |

Thats strange. It must be something up with your firewall and the our port?
![]() Would you like me to take a shot of anything in the admin section? |

it's not failing now, must have been side-effects from coming off vpn.
so i can get to the DNAS and the DSP recognises and attempts to connect, with a password failure. so seems like that's all ok. most perplexing why it's then failing for japhetB. -daz |

I can connect to http://66.68.28.166:8038/
I can't connect to http://66.68.28.166:5878/ connection timed out. [EDIT /] http://66.68.28.166:8038/ just died. Like DrO said, it's intermittent. [EDIT /] Discovered I was using 6 for 8 on the first octet. All seems to be working. |
