Coloring the right-click menu

Add these lines between the <elements> ... </elements> tags of the xml/system-colors.xml file in your skin to customize the colors of its right-click menu:

PHP Code:
<!-- Customize the colors of the right-click menu -->
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.background" value="255,255,255"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.background.selected" value="0,57,148"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.text" value="0,0,0"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.text.selected" value="255,255,255"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.text.inactive" value="172,168,153"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.frame" value="172,168,153"/>
  <
color id="wasabi.popupmenu.separator" value="172,168,153"/>
Change the values to your taste. When assigning a value to wasabi.popupmenu.background.selected, take into consideration that Winamp will turn that color 50% transparent. If wasabi.popupmenu.background is set to black (0,0,0) and wasabi.popupmenu.background.selected is set to white (255,255,255) then, with 50% transparency, the selected item will be highlighted with a gray background.

By adding wasabi.popupmenu tags, you can fix the broken right-click menus (with black letters on a black backgound) of great old skins such as Turner Classic Movies or Hitchhiker's Guide by Petrol Designs.

Thanks, Ali Mas'ud (msdzero) and Maribel Han, for sharing this howto: Styling Winamp Popup Menu.

Finally! I have full control over every detail in the Context Menu!

I used to manage those colors using wasabi.list entries. Thank you for sharing.

Do you by any chance know if there are also wasabi IDs exclusively for the PlayList Editor as there are for the popup menu?
I have the impression that the skin engine still uses the MediaLibrary IDs also for the PlayList Editor.

Thanks ...
