wow, does that mean you are quitting skinning or something? Why don't you want to subimt it anywhere?

Dunno why you don't want to publish the skin, it's bloody great. Do the posbar, find a better color for the text background (and frame it), skin the other windows, publish it and if I get it for reviewing it's a 5 all the way, and it will probably be a featured skin.

If you don't want to do it..... well.. don't... you have your reasons. But I think you'll dissapoint a lot of people by not publishing it.

not to be "pushy" about it, but i agree with Doggy Dogg. i'd love to see the other windows skinned.. even as the author, it'd be a shame to deny such a great skin it's completion.

i gave the skin a nod, btw, in the latest report on my site (see sig).

Well, I think the main and the top of the eq are awesome - how painterly and melted and fluid it is. The rest kind of reverts to a standard DA/Breed/whatever-you-wanna-callit type skin - not bad, but doesn't stand out.

actually thats kind of what i wanted...fire seems like an "evil" element to me, so i figured that style would go well with it. unfortunately it's very textureless and looks bland.

inthegray - thanks for the nod

I know my opinion may not mean much here, but I have to agree with Doggy Dog. I've been a huge fan of yours since your Water Elemental skin. Once I heard another of the four was being done by you, I was exstatic!

And not to sound pushy... ever since there's this image in the back of my mind, of two more skins. I'd love to have a set of elemental skins by none other than Xenosomething.

But, yeah, I don't really know what else to say other than, this skin is top quality stuff (once it's fully completed), I've always loved your work, and I'd love to see you continue (though it's not my place to beg and plead or anything).

can somebody check this for bugs/problems?

...everything should be done aside from the easter egg. any other suggestions toward functionality would be helpful also.

if all is good then i'll submit it(about time!)

You seem to have (perhaps/probably intentionally) left the "vis menu" clutterbar button, the playlist winshade button, and the main menu button pretty much unskinned. But other than that it all looks bug-free as far as I can see. I'd suggest at least filling in all of the balance bar frames (because of the eq-winshade... thing) and I might put some kind of devider between the two bars in the eq winshade. None of that is a huge deal, just stuff you might want to think about.

Who is the milkman? What is the purpose of the goggles?

the vis menu/pl winshade were intentional.

i've just added the main option button, and fixed the winshade balance frames.(the divider i won't put in though )

thats the last file i'll be posting...if anybody thinks a button is overly hard to see/use please let me know before i submit it(which will be in a day or two)

and also remember it was meant to be used on darker desktops...so keep that in mind.

What, no Mikro or cursors?

Oh my sweet lanta, it's a thing of beauty. Seriously. It looks more difficult to navigate than it actually is. I can't really give constructive suggestions for increased functionality without compromising your design. For frequent classic skin users, it's not that difficult, even for myself, who balks at small buttons and often forgets the order of the Cbuttons, even after years and years of use.

Can't find any bugs, with the possible exception of boxes where the kpbs & kHz numbers appear in the Main - but only when nothing is playing. Don't know if that was intentional or not . . .

I love looking at this skin. It's so pretty.

I was hoping someone would animate that.
The skin just got darker and darker, huh. I think it's cool because the finished skin really says to me "Temple inside a volcano" which gives me happy Zelda 64 memories.

Thanks for doing that Jones I actually enjoyed having a look at all the screenshots after the other, and it's better in the animated GIF.

It's pretty funny how it got darker almost every single time you made changes to it And I had never realised how many things were constantly evolving in that skin! Practically every little detail was at some stage being tweaked and changed into something better - I really like that. I've noticed on a lot of skins that have had skins-in-progress shots put here in the past that many skinners don't really try to improve things after they've put them in. But you really seem to try to push yourself to make the skin the best you can. I guess there's (almost) a good reason for the skin taking five centuries to be made

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.
