Definitely Klipsch. I've listened to many models of both brands, and I prefer Klipsch by far. The average price is a little higher, but well worth it IMO.

For music, definitely.

Even if you don't have one, a $150 amp and $200 stereo speakers will sound better than a cheap surround set.

If your PC can reach your stereo system (and if you have a stereo system), then yeah, buy a minijack-to-stereo-RCA cable and connect your PC's headphone jack to your receiver's audio inputs.

If not, then do what I did and listen before you buy to both higher-end PC speaker systems like the ones from Klipsch, and to standalone receiver/speaker components you can get for the same price range (totaling around $350).

^ how about showing something in a comperable price range like these?

If BV could afford $4000.00 for a pair of speakers, I don't think he would be asking our opinion of what sounds better.

lemme just take out a student loan for some "books" and ill get those speakers...they look sweet.

//im going with the klipsch, or may consider looking into a shelf system...thanks everyone.
