A screenshot of the program, as it looks currently.

But the program is still far from being able to be tested, tough.

if the XUIObjects are decent and something that should have been included in Winamp3 in the first place (like for example some of all them maki scripts that have been made by us here on the forums, for anyone to use, that enables people to make pretty important things without having to reinvent the wheel all the time) then I think it would be a great idea to include them in Wasabi Skinner, but be sure to "list" them in a separate category like: "Custom XUIObjects" or something.

I don't know how, but I want to make the program extensible. Which means, that when you put an XML-file with premade XUI objects in a particular folder, then you are able to select that XUI object.
This will then also work for MAKI-scripts, and so on..

It is exactly like the Visual Studio .NET layout. And that layout looks like the VB6/5 layout, which I have used for years.

Well, ok. Here you are.
- The program is written in C#, so if you want to help with programming, then you will need knowledge of C#.
- However, people CAN help with the interface of the program.

But not yet. I have to solve something, then you people can see the result.

I was talking about THAT something. I know C# is a programming language. At school we used C and Visual Basic for some projects si I am just above the n00b level when it comes to coding

You can buy Visual Studio .NET 2003, but I don't think that that's what you mean.

Look here to find out whether you have the .NET framework installed, and if not, install it. The compiler is the csc.exe file in the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.xxxx folder. The VB.NET compiler (vbc.exe) is in the same folder.

(I suggest that you download the framework as a separate file, since the windowsupdate.microsoft.com server will propably be down for some time )

Well, the main problem is writing a complete library of classes which use the Wasabi functionality. And it's very boring work, so I had to give it a break.

..But if someone wants to help....

Hi, just found this topic. This is a GREAT idea and a very important one. It really bugs me that you can't even make a winamp skin without being a programmer, but this looks to greatly simplify things for the skinner.

Does this project have a website yet?

This project is kinda paused right now, due to my study. But as soon as I have some days off, I'll look into it (e.g. dig it up, dust it off ).

And this project doesn't have a website. If and when this project reaches its first release, I'll get a website for it.

Well, I'm currently doing my study.
Somewhere in May, I may have a week off. I have already dug the thing up.
The mayor part to be done is the library which represent the XML objects. I'll have to write some tool for it.

So, you'll have to wait.. I'm sorry.
However, I try to work on it in my spare time, when I can find some..
