Update: 12-03-2004 5:30 PM EST - Winamp.com has just been updated by Wen (webmaster) and 5.07 is now also available directly from winamp.com

Somebody else noticed the /S switch now properly installs silently? The registration details dialog does not appear during install, but on first Winamp launch (Winamp not launched automatically at the end of installation either).

yeah i read that post but 'weren't needed' is not a reason, and i can give this Ryan person two reasons why they are needed:
-newpicks is a sorry excuse for a colection
-30+ ppl are gonna hate him for a long time if he doesnt

why are we gonna hate him?

because we spent a lot of hours pikcking them (we first sugested 5 presets each and out of those we then voted (with a voteing sistem that also took time to make -credits to UnconeD) and then gathered them and all the nececery files).
And ofcourse before that, we made the damn presets which needles to say took countles hours to.

The comunity picks are a resoult of more than 2 years work!

These are my arguments to sir Ryans 'weren't needed' and I got somethin else for him :the midle finger:.

Actually, I think you're talking about two different things.
DrO was talking about missing milkdrop files
(of which Ryan Geiss told David Biderman that they weren't required),
whereas fsk was referring to the AVS Community Picks - which I think were agreed to be included by Steve before he left, and David's probably totally forgotten, heh :/
